Announcing the California Forest Pest Council 57th Annual Meeting – California Forest Health: A Practical Approach

The 57th annual meeting of the California Forest Pest Council will provide the membership a chance to review 2008 California forest health status and issues, formulate and vote on resolutions and address topics of special concern. Membership in the CFPC is granted to anyone attending the meetings.

Tuesday, November 18, will cover issues in animal damage, forest insects and pathogens, and conclude with a social, and a poster session featuring “What’s wrong with my tree? Stump the Experts”. Participants are encouraged to bring in samples for identification.

Wednesday, November 19 includes an overview of new and notable pest activity and the featured topic: California Forest Health: A Practical Approach, and a Case Study in Managing Forest Health Issues: The Lake Tahoe Basin.
